Over in the states, YourList.com has launched, a new streamlined online classified website which allows users to search by state, city or choose a destination in miles from a zipcode.
The site claims to have a robust job section, where a fifteen dollar fee allows recruiters to post an employment opening, a fee that's more in the realm of Craigslist than most online recruitment portals.
The aim of the fifteen dollar fee is to prevent abuse, to discourage bogus jobs and scams that the press release states clutter many of the other classified sites that offer free job postings.
Charlie Parks, Founder and CEO, said, I quote “Our advanced Job Search features rival those of Monster, CareerBuilder and HotJobs, but at a fraction of the cost”, unquote.
We took a look around the site, which was quick, responsive and easy to navigate. It's clearly location centric, the site forces you to set a state and city when you first visit.
There was little advertising content when we visited, at least at the states and cities we tried, which made evaluating the offering difficult. But the advanced search seems to include all of the usual criteria such as keywords, job category, employment type and salary.
YourList.com are giving away a free iPhone on a monthly basis. The first draw is on the 1st September, so get registering now if you want a chance of winning.
