The specialist site, which caters for the part-time and hourly employment sectors, was founded by lawyer Shawn Boyer eight years ago. Mr Boyer recognising a gap in the market after noticing a friend's difficultly sourcing an internship.
The snagajob story is a typical niche job board success. After sourcing venture capital the company started in the year 2000 with 24 full-time employees. It now boasts a team that is 85 people strong and has become a multi-million dollar business.
Snagajob beat 52 contenders to win the Small Business of the Year award.
