Online job advertising in the UK dropped in April, according to the born Job Advertising Index.
The index, which tracks the advertising levels on over 70 leading job boards, experienced a one point decline in April, after a three point dip in March.
Just over 50% of the job boards included in the index experienced a decrease in job advertising levels, however the majority of the sites recorded only minor volumes dips.
There were no discernable differences in advertising trends on generalist and specialist job boards, indicating the market as a whole remained stagnant during the month.
