Back in the UK, the Recruitment and Employment confederation has been invited to attend the Prime Minster?s ?Jobs Summit, which will take place on Monday 12th January.
Speaking ahead of the summit, REC Chief Executive Kevin Green said, I quote:
?"Recruitment agencies are in the front line of the labour market and the industry is in a unique position to provide a practical perspective on what is needed to jump start the UK jobs market.?
That REC is attending the summit will no doubt be heralded as good news by UK recruiters, who see the potential of the UK?s economic downtime having serious implications on their businesses.
We look forward to reporting any news coming out of the summit in the next show.
